Los villanos se encuentran celebrando cuando los superhéroes irrumpen y los atacan. En las alcantarillas, Flecha Verde y Canario Negro recorren los túneles. Mientras Batman derrota al Riddler y Aquaman al Parásito antes de encargarse de Manta Negra, Cara de Barro enfrenta a Flecha y Canario hasta que aparece el Hombre Elástico y se ocupa de él. Los héroes mantienen la ventaja, por lo que los villanos corren a los teleportadores y se dirigen a sus ciudades, pero antes Atom consigue desmantelar el campo de fuerza de Luthor. Flecha Verde y Canario Negro llegan a su objetivo: los familiares y amigos de los héroes. Ollie dispara su flecha de kryptonita a Supergirl, pero ella la esquiva y es John Stewart quien recibe el disparo. Todos quedan conmocionados hasta que John se levanta con el anillo de Linterna Verde en su mano, el cual Ollie acaba de pasarle.
Brainiac huye mientras la Liga combate al resto de los villanos. El Parásito intenta matar a Superman, pero es sorprendido al descubrir que en verdad se trata del Capitán Marvel disfrazado. Linterna Verde utiliza kryptonita azul para deshacerse de Bizarro y el Capitán Marvel vence a Black Adam. John Stewart elimina a los gusanos mecánicos de Brainiac que se encuentran en el aire, borra las identidades secretas de la Liga de la mente de los villanos, y destruye el control de Brainiac sobre las personas. Hal ataca a Sinestro y, cuando ambos pierden la carga de sus anillos, continúan luchando con sus puños hasta que Sinestro es derrotado. Los demás héroes logran la victoria, pero Brainiac obtiene el control de las armas nucleares del mundo entero; Aquaman lo persigue puesto que Brainiac tiene a su hijo. Entretanto, los héroes son encarados por el Espantapájaros, quien utiliza su gas del miedo en las personas de la ciudad esfera y las observa matarse unas a otras.
Superman destroza el ejército del Juguetero y descubre que este se ha convertido prácticamente una máquina. Con el Espantapájaros sometido, Batman y J'onn ponen a Luthor y Grodd bajo su control. El Espantapájaros escapa a las alcantarillas, donde es atacado por el Joker. Aquaman persigue a Manta Negra mientras que Superman va detrás de Brainiac. La Mujer Maravilla lucha contra Chita, mostrando lo mucho que su cuerpo se ha deteriorado a causa del veneno, y la vence. Aquaman finalmente encuentra a Manta Negra y lo derrota, salvando a su hijo. Superman, Zatanna y Tornado Rojo atrapan a Brainiac en su refugio: una diminuta nave espacial en el espacio. Superman congela la nave y lleva a Zatanna de regreso a la Tierra antes que muera debido al vacío espacial. J'onn utiliza sus poderes para conectar las mentes de Luthor y Grodd, luego Grodd accede a redirigir y detener los misiles. "After finishing Café Terrace at Night, Van Gogh wrote a letter to his sister[2] expressing his enthusiasm:
I was only interrupted by my work on a new painting representing the exterior of a night café. On the terrace there are small figures of people drinking. An immense yellow lantern illuminates the terrace, the facade, the side walk and even casts light on the paving stones of the road which take a pinkish violet tone. The gables of the houses, like a fading road below a blue sky studded with stars, are dark blue or violet with a green tree. Here you have a night painting without black, with nothing but beautiful blue and violet and green and in this surrounding the illuminated area colours itself sulfur pale yellow and citron green. It amuses me enormously to paint the night right on the spot. Normally, one draws and paints the painting during the daytime after the sketch. But I like to paint the thing immediately. It is true that in the darkness I can take a blue for a green, a blue lilac for a pink lilac, since it is hard to distinguish the quality of the tone. But it is the only way to get away from our conventional night with poor pale whitish light, while even a simple candle already provides us with the richest of yellows and oranges.

And yes, I know Battleship has already made over $200 million in foreign markets before its US release, but its reported budget was around $200 million as well. Even with its final US gross a few months from now, there's NO way it's going to turn a large enough profit for the studio to think it was worth it. Don't even try to tell me you think they spent less than $50-75 million on marketing. Why do you think Green Lantern isn't going to have a sequel.

Wrestling and Basketball tournaments today! Starting my day with whole wheat bread from The Local Oven Bakery that's been graced with strawberry jam from Carolyn Austin and Brian's Rush Creek Family Farm. This coach has a tremendous track record in developing talent, or coaching them up as some would say. He has had multimple Conference Defensive Players of the Year, Defensive Linemen of the Year, All-Americans, NFL draft choices, including first rounders and a Lombardi Trophy winner. He and Coach Sunseri have been friends for many years and should mesh and work extremely well together.
"John is one of the most respected defensive line coaches in the nation," said Dooley. "He has a history of coaching and developing multiple All-Americans, all-conference players, first-round draft picks, and Pro Bowl players. Adding a coach with John's abilities and successful track record will have a positive impact on our defensive line and our program."
Palermo spent two seasons with the NFL's Washington Redskins from 2008-09, during which time he coached Brian Orapko, who earned Pro Bowl honors as a rookie in a dual role as a defensive end and linebacker. Washington also finished fourth overall in the NFL in fewest yards allowed per game in 2008 and 10th in 2009. The 2008 Redskins defense also finished sixth in the league in fewest points allowed.
Palermo spent 15 years under head coach Barry Alvarez at the University of Wisconsin, during which time he coached four first-team All-Americans, four Big Ten Defensive Linemen of the Year, two Big Ten Defensive Players of the Year, and a pair of first-round draft selections in Wendell Bryant (2002) and Erasmus James (2005). In 2004, the entire Wisconsin starting defensive line was selected in the NFL Draft, and the Badgers won two Big 10 titles during his tenure.
Palermo served as assistant head coach during his 15 years at Wisconsin, leading the outside linebackers from 1991-95 and the defensive line from 1996-2005. Before joining the Badgers, Palermo spent one season as the head coach at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville.
Most recently on the staff at Middle Tennessee for two seasons (2010-11), Palermo's 2010 Blue Raider defensive line unit featured Jamari Lattimore, who earned Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year that season and currently plays for the Green Bay Packers.
Palermo spent two seasons at Notre Dame under head coach Lou Holtz from 1988-89, including the Fighting Irish's national championship season of 1988. While at Notre Dame, Palermo coached defensive lineman Chris Zorich, a two-time consensus All-American and the 1990 winner of Lombardi Award.

CYNTHIA JEAN TAYLOR McDONALD
Cynthia Jean Taylor McDonald, 62, passed away in her sleep early in the morning January 1, 2012, at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born November 23, 1949 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the youngest child of Harry J. and Bessie M. (Bannon) Taylor who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons Scott of Wichita Falls, Texas and Brian of Salida, Colorado and grandson Connor; sisters Mary Beth Divis of Garland, Texas and Kathy Jones and her husband Warren of Glasgow, Kentucky; brother Jim and his wife Johnna of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Cynthia attended Okmulgee Public Schools, graduating from high school in 1968. She received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Oklahoma State University where she developed an enduring love of the Cowboys. She also earned a Master's degree in Library Science from East Central State University. After graduating from OSU, Cynthia lived in Shawnee, Oklahoma where she worked, raised a family, and worshipped at First Methodist Church, singing in the choir for many years. She was a classroom teacher and librarian in the Shawnee School System until her retirement. Outgoing and friendly, Cynthia made close friends wherever she went, including many life-long friends she left behind in Shawnee when she retired. After moving to Texas, Cynthia taught in the Lewisville School System for five years before moving to Colorado Springs to be closer to her son Brian and grandson Connor. She loved the mountains of Colorado, living there briefly in her youth and visiting often until she moved to Colorado Springs where she had a beautiful view of Pike's Peak. Cynthia was a generous and talented person who radiated affection for her sons and grandson, sisters, brother, many close friends, and her pets. She was a loving, giving and wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at the Walker Funeral Home, 201 E. 45th Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma on Saturday, February 11 at 2:00 followed by a reception at the Holiday Inn Express I-40, 4909 North Union, Shawnee, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers gifts may be made in Cynthia's memory to the American Cancer Society.

John Henry Hill Sr.
Mr. John Henry Hill, Sr. was born to Rose Mary Simms, and Clemmie Hill, Sr. on February 23, 1933 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Mr. Hill surrounded by loving family entered Eternal Rest on Tuesday January 12, 2012 in Okmulgee. Mr. Hill leaves behind four loving children: Angela Asberry, Janet Hill, Sheila Hill, and John H. Hill, Jr., all of Tulsa, OK., twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.

Joyce Louise Shaw
Joyce Louise (Dodson) Shaw, a resident of Okmulgee, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Tulsa at the age of 65. Joyce was born in Henryetta, OK on June 22, 1946 to George Dodson and Thelma (Ross) Dodson.
Joyce grew up in Henryetta and attended school in Henryetta, graduating from Henryetta High School. She later attended Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee and received an associates degree there. Joyce was married to Allen Shaw on June 30, 1967 in Henryetta, OK. She was an avid craftsperson and loved cross-stitching and quilting.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother, Carl Dodson; a sister, Opal Cole; her father-in-law, Hayes Shaw; and her mother-in-law, Anabel Shaw.
Joyce is survived by her husband Allen Shaw, of the home in Okmulgee; a son, David Shaw and wife Katrina of Tecumseh; a daughter, Jennifer Shaw of Tulsa; 3 grandchildren, Adrea McCurdy of Tulsa, and Josiah and Micah Shaw of Tecumseh; by her twin-sister, Doris Green and husband Harold of Bixby; a sister, Ethel Locatelli of Huntsville, TX; a brother, Jim Dodson and wife Diane of Normal, IL; a brother, Dean Dodson and wife Lisa of Dewar, OK; by numerous nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
Viewing and visitation will be held at Integrity Funeral Service on Friday, from 1pm to 8pm.
A memorial service for Joyce will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Henryetta with Rev. Tom Shaw officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
Jolene Gaye Bassett
Jolene Gaye Bassett, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the age of 53. She was born November 25, 1958 to James Edward Bassett and Marjorie Juanita (Wallen) Bassett in Bradenburg, Kentucky.
Jolene attended Morris Schools and was a lifelong Okmulgee County resident.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Bassett in April 1959; son, Joshua Don Bassett in 1979; maternal grandparents, Abb and Lottie Wallen and paternal grandparents, Clayton and Maymie Pearl Bassett.
Survivors include her mother, Marjorie Bassett of Okmulgee; son, James Wallen Bassett of Okmulgee; sister, Janelle Williams & husband, Jimmy of Preston; brother, Donald Bassett and wife, Mai of Noble, aunt, Murl Coy of Okmulgee and host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
Pallbearers will be Jarron Williams, Austin West, Hank Williams, Michael West, Steven Williams, James Hester, Nolan Ryan Love, Matt Childers, Jason Childers, Bryan Bassett and Brandon Coy.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
