Ellie and I had a tough time finding a cat to adopt last year. Then we got a free kitten from a farm between Greencastle and Mercersburg. Typical barncat litter, with this one different cat - 5 weeks old, spunky, cute. Turns out its a very distinctive cat based upon its coloring, body structure and behavior -- a Bengal! It's a bit like having a Jack Russell b/c she is very demanding, vocal and interactive. Loves water and is very curious. Is built to stand on her hind legs. "Real" pedigree bengals go for between $1 and $3 thousand. And, who has the MALE Bengal in that part of Franklin County???

Today we worked very hard with the natives on a home for a poor family. Kris and I visited a little and worked a lot. Dean worked a little and visited a lot. Ellie went on a 2 hour nature walk. We dug holes with spikes and bowls thru rock hard clay. Tons of fun. Wish you all could have been there. Later in the day we went on a safari into a 300 foot cave with hundreds maybe even thousands of screaming bats flying just over our heads. Kris absolutely loved it. Tomorrow we're going to finish the house and spend some more time with the orphans.
