King said that the church should be the headlights but usually the church is the taillights of culture. The Emerging Church must shake of the willingness to blend into the status quo and with both courage and conviction, step into the fray to work for social justice in a way that threatens government, corporations and the institutional church. They did not, after all, kill Jesus because he was always willing to see both sides of every issue and take the middle of the road position!

Candidates who are in the fray for Shimla municipal corporation elections would miss the 30000 voters whose names have been struck off from the electoral rolls this time. While in 2007 elections there were 1,11,366 voters in the city, this time only 81040 have been registered. With polls scheduled to be held on May 27, political parties have geared up to woo the voters.
Movie Review of "The Grey": A-. This is an excellent movie, but be warned: it's not a feel good movie. I'd also put it squarely in the category of "guy-flick." In fact, aside from short flash-back scenes, there's not a single woman in this movie. However, women should enjoy this movie, as men should enjoy soulful chic-flicks, for this is a soulful guy-flick. While this movie has brutal language and violence, what makes it a soulful guy-flick is its theme: the will to live in the face death. This movie is about the masculine calling to continue to move "into the fray," to not quit, to never give up--even when you know "success" is hopeless. If you are someone with a masculine essence and feel that, at times, your effort and mission in life isn't being received, appreciated or succeeding, then go see this movie. It won't motivate you to keep fighting by offering sappy and happy endings, but because it's simply the masculine calling in life.
