First and foremost, as a Christian, I want to thank God and His son Jesus Christ for their blessings and grace upon my life. I am grateful and will always strive to be a better person, helping those in need as led by the Holy Spirit.
I also want to thank the family in San Francisco, California who provided Broken Wing the endowment in loving memory of their son Jonathan enabling Broken Wing to move forward, pay our bills, keep my promises and most importantly to offer assistance to parrots and their guardians in distress. Their generosity has enabled us to find a new location with acreage and with the proper zoning. We are also being provided a pledge of operating capital to cover administrative costs for the next five years.
I also want to thank the sellers of the property who turned down three offers for more money so that Broken Wing could purchase the property with the funds received via the endowment.
What I have learned from this experience is that as long as your heart is fixed on doing what is right in the sight of God and persevere having faith in Him, no matter who is against you or what your current circumstances are, you will prevail way beyond your comprehension.
Today, Buddie and I walked through the property in preparation for moving in. The master bedroom is complete and furnished. The refrigerators, TV and ceiling fans are also in. Our feathered companions will have their own living quarters with access to several large outside aviaries. The floor and grate below the fan line still needs to be installed. Once that is completed, Cages by Design has been chosen to custom build the enclosures.
I want to personally thank my volunteers and our Board. I also want to thank all of you for your prayers, kind words and support.
Peace, Love and for those who believe as I do, God bless!
